2022 Chateau des Quarts Pouilly-Fuisse 1er Cru L'Orangerie du Chateau des Quarts
Planted in 2015, The Chardonnay grapes are vinified by Olivier and Dominique in the Merlin cellar in La Roche-Vineuse.
Pouilly-Fuissé 1er Cru L'Orangerie du Château des Quarts presents an intense nose with aromas of peach that gives way to a light woody very fine. The palate is marked by a clear balance between volume and freshness.
The two plots of 60 ares from which the grapes originate are located in Aux Quarts and close to L’Orangerie du Château. This greenhouse was built in 1875 and was used in winter to protect exotic plants. Exposed to the east, at an altitude of 230 meters, on a very stony, well-draining clayey limestone soil, this vine is in an early ripening situation.
